On December 16, 1899, AC Milan was founded. In the 1999-2000 season, as part of the team's 100th anniversary celebration, the 100th anniversary jersey was unveiled. This jersey was based on the first of Milan which had thin red and black stripes. The emblem was replaced by the team's first emblem, which was based on the emblem of Milan, white with a red cross. In one sleeve there was the Italian flag due to the conquest of the championship of the previous season, while in the other there was the respective patch depending on the tournament, either Serie A or Champions League.

Milan used this jersey in several games of the season, in Italy and Europe, but it was not the main shirt of the team. There was the classic red and black with thick stripes, one white, one black and one gold.

Paolo Maldini, son of Cesare Maldini, was the captain of that team. From 1984 to 2009 he played for the “Rossoneri” (647 appearances and 29 goals), winning 5 Champions Leagues (or Champions Cups), two of them as a leader, 7 Italian leagues, 1 Italian Cup, 4 European Super Cups, 2 Intercontinental Cups. and 1 Club World Cup.

Στις 16 Δεκεμβρίου 1899 ιδρύθηκε η Μίλαν. Τη σεζόν 1999-2000, στα πλαίσια του εορτασμού των 100 χρόνων ιστορία της ομάδας, παρουσιάστηκε η επετειακή φανέλα των 100 χρόνων. Η φανέλα αυτή βασίστηκε στην πρώτη της Μίλαν η οποία είχε λεπτές κόκκινες και μαύρες ρίγες. Το σήμα αντικαταστάθηκε με το πρώτο έμβλημα της ομάδα το οποίο βασίζονταν στο έμβλημα του Μιλάνου, λευκό με κόκκινο σταυρό. Στο ένα μανίκι υπήρχε η ιταλική σημαία λόγω της κατάκτησης του πρωταθλήματος της προηγούμενης σεζόν ενώ στο άλλο υπήρχε το εκάστοτε patch ανάλογα με τη διοργάνωση, είτε Serie A είτε Champions League.

Η Μίλαν χρησιμοποίησε τη φανέλα αυτή σε αρκετά παιχνίδια της σεζόν, σε Ιταλία και Ευρώπη, αλλά δεν ήταν η βασική εμφάνιση της ομάδας. Υπήρχε η κλασική κοκκινόμαυρη με χοντρές ρίγες, μια λευκή, μια μαύρη αλλά και μια χρυσή.

Ο Πάολο Μαλντίνι, γιος του Τσέσαρε Μαλντίνι, ήταν ο αρχηγός εκείνης της ομάδας. Από το 1984 μέχρι και το 2009 αγωνίστηκε στους «ροσονέρι» (647 συμμετοχές και 29 γκολ) κατακτώντας 5 Champions League (ή Κύπελλα Πρωταθλητριών) τα δύο εξ αυτών ως αρχηγός, 7 πρωταθλήματα Ιταλίας, 1 Κύπελλο Ιταλίας, 4 Super Cup Ευρώπης, 2 Διηπειρωτικά και 1 Παγκόσμιο Κύπελλο Συλλόγων.
