On March 4 2018, the captain of Fiorentina and international with the Italian national team, Davide Astori, died at the age of 31 from a heart attack.

This particular jersey is the last one that Astori wore with the "Viola", from 2017-2018 season. Both Fiorentina and Cagliari, in which he played from 2008 to 2016, withdrew the number 13 in his honor.

He played in 14 games on the Italian national team, scoring 1 goal and winning the bronze medal at the Confederations Cup in 2013 in Brazil.

Στις 4 Μαρτίου 2018 ο αρχηγός της Φιορεντίνα και διεθνής με την εθνική Ιταλίας, Ντάβιντε Αστόρι, απεβίωσε σε ηλικία 31 ετών από καρδιακό επεισόδιο.

Η συγκεκριμένη φανέλα είναι η τελευταία που φόρεσε ο Αστόρι με το σήμα των «Βιόλα», από τη σεζόν 2017-2018. Τόσο η Φιορεντίνα όσο και η Κάλιαρι, στην οποία αγωνίστηκε από το 2008 μέχρι το 2016, απέσυραν το νούμερο 13 προς τιμήν του.

Με την εθνική Ιταλίας αγωνίστηκε σε 14 παιχνίδια, πετυχαίνοντας 1 γκολ και κατέκτησε το χάλκινο μετάλλιο στο Confederations Cup το 2013 στη Βραζιλία.

Χαρακτηριστικό της εν λόγο φανέλας είναι το διακριτικό σύμβολο της Φλωρεντίας στο αριστερό μανίκι και φυσικά η διαφήμιση “Save the Children” για χάρη του φιλανθρωπικού οργανισμού τον οποίο στηρίζει η Φιορεντίνα.
